Loving God, One Another, and the World

Welcome to Morton Church!

We are a warm, prayerful community of faith that loves God and cares for one another and the world in gentle ways. We value beauty and simplicity, and our worship reflects that. We love scripture, especially the stories of Jesus, and every week our pastor, Mary, tries to help us take something home from the Bible to chew on.  Because we are a multigenerational family with many tastes, our music spans a variety of styles, from old time hymns, to stately classics, to contemporary. We use the piano and acoustic guitar.  Come as you are–there’s no special dress code.  We look forward to welcoming you in the name of the Lord who loves us all!

Fall 2022 Music for Little Friends:

We enjoy sharing God’s love with little children ages 0-5 and their grownups through our Music for Little Friends program.  (Yes, it’s for babies, too!) We sing, dance, play instruments, praise God, and enjoy each other’s company.  It happens in our fellowship hall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturdays: September 10, 17, October 1, 15, November 5 and 19.  Contact pastor Mary for more information.

Our Faith Community During the COVID-19 Pandemic:

Friends, we are worshiping in person again on Sunday mornings, but you can also join us on Zoom. Just click on our contact page, send us a message, and we will send you the connection information.  You can join us on your computer, but you can also connect with us by phone.  Pastor Mary will be glad to show you how.

You can find meditations posted online to read at The Mustard Seed Journal and in audio format on the “Hear the Word at Morton Church” page of this site.
